good bye my dream...

i've always dreamed of living in my gung-gung's (grandfather) house and fixing it up to showcase its golden 40s/50s charm.  though it looks like in reality it won't happen, unless i want to be a home owner.  it's been officially decided the house will be going up for sale. oh very sad! all those memories of being board to death there, playing with the door chain, only sitting in 2 chairs because i was too phobic scared to sit on the dirty old sofa). it is though rather creepy inside, but i think it's just because everything was very dingy and dirty.

we've spent the last week cleaning it out. and may i graciously thank all those that came out and helped claim a new treasure!!! it's so much (yes i am going to ruin it so for those who has not seen toy story 3.  do not read on!) like toy story 3 in finding a new home.  Most of all though i cannot thank all of you that came out and helped on saturday to clear and donate all the goods that were not deemed a treasure!!! You all know who you are and you are awesome!

the carpet came out on monday and the painter's have done their first coat of paint.  can i say how beautiful it looks inside without the ugly green carpet????!!!! so gorgeous!!! i love the way the sun reflects on the hardwood floors! it creates such a beautiful glow and warm feeling inside that just says 'welcome home and get cozy'.  may i say with just 1 coat of fresh paint, it looks so amazing!!!! ahh i keep telling myself just wait in time...its a good time to buy a house for the buyer, but i don't want that mortgage to lock me down here even more....it's so beautiful inside though.

how many pieces of Samsonite luggage can a women have?  going through my grandfather's house there's 2 sets of 2 piece luggage's by Samsonite in good condition.  I tagged both of them, but the boyfriend looks at me like i am crazy and with a 'really????' look at me.  can't i keep both? i am trying to think quick what can i use them for, because obviously i cannot use them to travel.  i mean who does that anymore???

so today i went to check out an apartment and there was a 90 year old lady that was renting it out.  it made me think, people just aren't like how they use to be back then.  i see a lot of it in my mom, that classic 40s/50s charm, but i also see how my mom has picked up soooo many bad habits and rude behavior of today.  it was rather inspiring or more refreshing?  let's see how long it stays though.
